AnnexOps AI

GPAI obligations are already active. Are you compliant?

EU AI Act obligations for General Purpose AI models came into force on August 2, 2025. If you are building on or deploying a GPAI model — including fine-tunes of open-weight models — obligations apply to you today.

⚡ Active since Aug 2, 2025

✓ Article 53 coverage

✓ Systemic risk assessment

GPAI obligation areas

What Article 53 requires from GPAI providers

Technical documentation

Article 53(1)(a) requires technical documentation covering training methodology, data used, compute, capabilities, and limitations. AnnexOps generates this from your model profile.

Training data transparency

Article 53(1)(b) requires a summary of training data content. The GPAI module provides structured templates for documenting data sources, filtering criteria, and copyright compliance policies.

Systemic risk assessment

GPAI models trained on over 10²⁵ FLOPs face additional Article 55 systemic risk obligations. AnnexOps calculates whether your model crosses this threshold and generates the required adversarial testing plan.

Downstream deployer pass-through

If you provide a GPAI model to downstream deployers, AnnexOps generates the Article 53(1)(e) information that must be passed about the model’s capabilities, limitations, and intended use.

GPAI module features

Complete Article 53 and 55 compliance coverage

Technical documentation generation

AI-generated Article 53(1)(a) technical documentation from your model profile. Covers training methodology, data sources, compute, intended capabilities, and known limitations.

Training data summary templates

Structured templates for documenting training data sources, filtering criteria, and copyright compliance policies. Satisfies Article 53(1)(b) without exposing commercially sensitive data.

Systemic risk calculator

Calculates whether your model's training compute exceeds the 10²⁵ FLOPs threshold for Article 55 systemic risk. Generates the required adversarial testing plan and incident reporting procedures.

Downstream information package

Generates the Article 53(1)(e) information package for downstream deployers. Covers capabilities, limitations, intended use scope, and known failure modes.

Copyright compliance policy

Template copyright compliance policy for training data, required under Article 53(1)(c). Covers opt-out mechanisms, dataset provenance, and rights clearance procedures.

GPAI obligation monitoring

Monitors whether your GPAI obligations remain complete as your model evolves. New model versions trigger a GPAI compliance re-check automatically.
